Job summary

DK Security, Inc. is hiring Security Officers in Michigan for part-time, non-armed positions with shifts Mon-Sun (1st and 2nd). The role emphasizes customer service, vigilance, and adherence to client contracts to protect properties and ensure safety.

Candidates must meet stringent age, education, and background requirements, pass drug screening, and obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification if not already held. Training and policy compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED (per MCL 338.1067).
• At least 21 years old with a Michigan CPL or LEOSA for armed security work.
• Pass a drug screen at hire and randomly thereafter (federal cannabis laws apply).
• No felony convictions (per MCL 338.1060).
• No disqualifying misdemeanors (dishonesty, fraud, etc., per MCL 338.1060).
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk 8–12 hours; lift 50 lbs (70 lbs for armed work).
• CPR/First Aid/AED certified or willing to become certified.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Professionalism and excellent customer service are required.
• Complete trainings on time and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers with a positive demeanor.
• Observe and Report: stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: maintain a professional look and guard in lobbies and reception areas.
• Patrol: conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
• Access Control: prevent unauthorized entry and verify IDs.
• Safety: maintain a safe environment and enforce location policies.
• Emergency Response: assist in emergencies and use CPR/First Aid/AED as needed.
• Security Liaison: communicate with client staff and site management.
• Other duties as assigned.
