Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Seattle, WA. You will patrol and safeguard clients across rail facilities, maintain a visible presence, assist visitors, and support access control.

You will document observations, communicate with site leadership, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment. This role emphasizes flexible scheduling, customer service, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials, report unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and disruptions calmly and follow site protocols; contact emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership.
