Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by performing site-specific access control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain entry records, and report access concerns.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, building areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain logs and incident reports and communicate professionally with site personnel and leadership.

As a Security Officer - Part Time Flexible Access Control in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Day: Wed
• Time: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and data infrastructure location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and communicate access concerns through established reporting channels.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, building areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, complete required incident reports, and communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR Certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
