Job summary

DK Security in Michigan is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a Friday–Sunday shift (2nd shift, 1500–2300). You will protect client properties, greet visitors, observe and report, conduct patrols, manage access, and respond to emergencies.

This role is not armed and requires no prior experience. The ideal candidate may be a veteran or have security, firefighting, corrections, or law enforcement experience, and must pass a drug screen, be 18+, and hold a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a drug screening at hire and randomly thereafter, including marijuana.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for 8–12 hours; lift at least 50 lbs. (70 lbs. for armed work).
• Excellent customer service, professionalism, and integrity required.

Responsibilities

• Assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers with a positive, professional demeanor.
• Observe and report suspicious activities and incidents.
• Maintain security presence in lobbies, reception areas, and control centers.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols as required.
• Control access to restricted areas and verify IDs.
• Respond to emergencies and administer basic first aid as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with client staff and site supervisor.
