Marksman Security Now Hiring for Experienced Security Officers

Ideal candidates will have previous security officer or security guard (armed or unarmed) experience, military and/or law‑enforcement experience. Duties and job functions include lobby desk, patrol, control center, access control, emergency response and risk management. Responsibilities

• Deter criminal activity and misconduct
• Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized persons by calling police, fire departments and/or local emergency response teams
• Make periodic patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
• Operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, navigate security software systems or applications and use email
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills, professional demeanor and appearance
• Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications and performing in a high‑pressure environment
• Other duties to be determined by security supervisor

Qualifications

• Prior law enforcement experience, military and/or corrections experience
• Applicants must meet one or any reasonable combination of the following requirements:
• Two years of customer service experience
• Two years of security experience
• Law Enforcement Experience
• Corrections Experience
• Military Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or something similar

Requirements

• Valid state licensing, if applicable
• 21 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
• Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor and appearance
• Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications while performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Above‑average written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
• Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
