Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Patrol Reconnaissance in Columbus, OH. This role offers flexible, reliable hours at a data center site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $21.79 per hour. The position features fixed anchor shifts and a program to earn more by taking extra shifts across sites, with the potential to scale hours up to 40 per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as per policy.
• Must be able to use a computer or tablet for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.
