Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer - Customer Service in Florence, KY. The role emphasizes unarmed security, customer service, and a flexible schedule with a pay rate of $17.68 per hour.

You will support shoppers and staff, monitor entrances, patrol the retail space, and respond to incidents in a courteous, professional manner. The position requires at least a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening, with CPR preferred and a readiness to work on a part-time

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; valid driver's license for driving positions.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.
