Job summary

Allied Universal® in Delray Beach, FL is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Administration Screener to provide dedicated screening and access control at a government location. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform, enhancing earnings and experience across sites.

The position pays $19.85 per hour and supports building a flexible, reliable schedule with potential to scale up to 40 hours per week as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security‑related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
• Guard card required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public through site‑specific screening procedures and access policies.
• Screen persons and property using screening equipment; report prohibited items and policy violations.
• Verify identification and credentials as directed; maintain professional communication and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies following procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
• Maintain awareness of entry points, conduct patrols, and complete activity logs and incident reports.
