Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Intake Driver in Houston, TX. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, helping you earn more while gaining hands-on experience in a security environment.

Salary is $16.74 per hour. Ideal candidates have a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and are at least 18 (21 for armed roles). Training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility operations location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct individuals in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity or conditions requiring attention.
• Maintain accurate logs, complete incident reports, and communicate relevant security‑related information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
