Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for an access control role in Denver, CO. You will provide customer service, monitor and patrol assigned areas, and support access control and safety procedures across a retail/mall environment.

The position offers a part-time schedule with a pay rate of $23.18 per hour. The role emphasizes a professional presence, incident response, and collaboration with tenants, staff, and visitors to deter security-related incidents.

Qualifications

Alarm panel experience preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Access control and badge experience preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
Background check will be conducted as required by law.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
Driver's license required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner per site procedures.
Conduct regular patrols of retail areas, exterior grounds, parking, and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual activity and potential hazards, documenting observations and reporting concerns.
Assist with access control, visitor directions, and traffic flow while maintaining a professional presence.
