Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Totowa, NJ to provide reliable access control and customer service at a financial institution. The role features fixed anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $21.25 per hour with a schedule that includes DayTime 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. This position offers part‑time hours with potential path to a full‑time schedule based on site needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years security‑related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years security experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 (unarmed) / 21+ (armed); HS diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• License requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and vendors at a financial institution while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Monitor and manage access by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs.
• Respond to alarms and incidents calmly and communicate with site contacts and leadership.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and common areas to deter improper activity.
• Operate access control systems and cameras per procedures and document daily activities.
