Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Sterling, IL seeks a motivated part-time security officer for an industrial site. The role is on the third shift, from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Wednesday through Saturday, totaling 32 hours per week and paying $16.50 per hour.

You will monitor premises with CCTV, manage access control, inspect doors and gates, report issues, and coordinate with emergency personnel when needed. Candidates must be 18+, able to handle physical work, and willing to undergo pre-employment

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to handle physical workload including climbing stairs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screening (drug screen, MVR, background).
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• PERC card holder preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules via CCTV and security rounds.
• Access control of visiting individuals and commercial inbound traffic.
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Report any facility issues.
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations.
• Other duties as assigned by security supervisor.
