Securitas Security Services is hiring for a Part Time Security Officer in Springfield, IL. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service to clients and guests while upholding integrity, vigilance and helpfulness.

A drug screen and background check are required during the hiring process, with interviews conducted virtually via Google Meet. The position includes patrols, post orders compliance, and utilizing security tech to keep premises safe.

Part Time Security Officer

Primary Location: Springfield, IL

Wage: $18.50/HR

What You Can Expect:

Basic Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for a PERC Security Officer License in the State of Illinois.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GEDorbe willing to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record required (this position will include driver certification).
• Reliable form of communication device needed (cell phone).
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Reliable form of transportation needed (public transportation is not available for this position due to shift and / or location).
