Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure environment at the Dekalb, IL area location. The role involves access control, patrols, and enforcing client site rules while delivering strong customer service to employees and guests.

Positions require standing/walking for extended periods, 18+ years old, and a High School Diploma or GED. Competitive wage is $19.50/hour with benefits and pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

• Mon, Wed, & Fri - Sat: 6PM - 11PM
• Mon, Wed, & Fri: 12PM - 6PM

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
