Minimum of one year experience in security, military or related field monitoring property and safety; prior experience in a college/university setting preferred; ability to successfully complete a University training program for certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within 90 days of hire; Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) certification; willingness and ability to do physical labor including heavy lifting within manageable and safe parameters; occasionally lifting 25 to 50 pounds at a time. Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, climb, bend, etc. Working conditions may include exposure to extreme temperatures (> 100 F and/or < 50 F); valid New Jersey Driver’s License; proven ability to work with a diverse population; graduation from an accredited police academy and certification by the Police Training Commission of New Jersey preferred.
