Job summary

The Fox Studio Lot is seeking Part-Time Security Officers to provide a safe and secure environment for employees, guests, and vendors.

Key responsibilities include patrolling, access control, incident response, and reporting. Strong customer service and English communication are required, along with a CA Guard Card, a CA driver’s license, and a high school diploma. Some heavy lifting may be needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service.
• English language skills (verbal and written) must be able to communicate during emergencies.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull heavy objects (>50 pounds).
• Current CA Guard Card.
• Current CA driver’s license.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities or incidents at an assigned site to ensure security and safety of property and personnel.
• Patrol the site on foot, bicycle, or golf cart and check for hazards, security violations, or unauthorized persons.
• Control access to the studio through the admittance process and verify permissions.
• Respond to incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, floods, or weather events.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Fox Studio Lot is looking for Part-Time Security Officers. The Fox Security Officer’s top priority is to provide a safe and secure work environment for our employees, guests, clients, and vendors.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Observe and report activities or incidents at an assigned site, providing for the security and safety of studio property and personnel
• Patrol assigned site on foot, bicycle or golf cart; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
• Control access to studio site or facility through the admittance process. This includes checking permissions of persons entering the lot and refusing to admit those without appropriate documentation
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents
• The position may require standing for long periods of time (i.e., hours at a time, potentially). Security officers may be assigned to any shift; business operates 24/7 every day of the year. May be assigned outdoors during all weather conditions
• Work Schedule: Various regular shifts available, though must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime on short or even no notice

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Excellent customer service
• English language skills (verbal and written) must be at a level to communicate and give directions effectively during emergencies
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull heavy objects (e.g., stage doors) that can weigh more than 50 pounds
• Current CA Guard Card
• Current CA driver's license
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Basic computer skills

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• 1+ year of security or public safety experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $23.08 per hour.

This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
