Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Screening Monitor) in Miami, FL to protect clients across logistics & distribution sites. You will screen personnel, visitors, and packages, monitor access points, and respond to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen packages, shipments, personnel, and visitors in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas within the logistics and distribution location.
• Report suspicious activity, policy violations, and irregularities to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter, and respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
