Qualifications

• Age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required under applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

As a Government Screener with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure public-service location by screening visitors, monitoring access points, identifying and reporting security-related concerns, and delivering welcoming customer service. Pay Rate: $22.53 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AMTue11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, reporting prohibited or suspicious items in accordance with site protocols.
• Verify access credentials and direct visitors to appropriate entry points or offices while maintaining a professional, courteous presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report irregular conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
