Job summary

Comstock is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Saturday 4pm-10pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm at the Silver Spring, MD location. The role focuses on patrols, access control, and maintaining safe premises for residents, tenants, and guests.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, security certification, and customer-service experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K match, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• VA state-certified security officer required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in customer-service related field.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations.
• Flexibility to work after hours and weekends.
• Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete hourly patrol route of the property using the security system.
• Access control for guests, tenants and vendors.
• Ensure no property is being damaged.
• Conduct routine foot patrols in and around building.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Observe and report safety conditions.
• Issue banning notices to rule violators and notify management.
• Maintain the appearance of plaza kiosks and enforce plaza policies.
• Coordinate with management during events at Reston and Reston Station locations.
