Job summary

Allied Universal in San Diego, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Patrol Driver duties at an aerospace/defense location. The role focuses on unarmed security, regular patrols, and strong customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors.

A Secret clearance and DoD background checks are required, with CPR preferred. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule (Sat/Sun 6:30 AM–2:30 PM) and opportunities to participate in Allied Universal’s Shift-claim platform, training

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• A valid driver’s license required.
• Background check and drug screen are standard employment conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
