Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in San Diego, CA with active DoD Secret clearance. You will protect clients across aero/defense facilities, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service while following site-specific policies.

This role offers flexible day/evening shifts on a part-time basis, opportunities to grow, and access to our Shift-claim platform to select additional hours. A valid DoD clearance and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Minimum age: 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, directing individuals to proper locations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies per protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and shift communications to support security operations.
