Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Irvine, CA. This role focuses on unarmed patrols, customer service, and responding to security incidents at a technology, media, and telecommunications site.

As a Part Time Driver Patrol Inspector, you will conduct routine patrols by foot or vehicle, monitor access, document observations, and maintain a visible security presence while adhering to site procedures and safety rules.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
• Monitor access to the property by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials as directed by site procedures, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and incoming personnel.
