Job summary

Allied Universal in Boonton, NJ is seeking a Security Officer for a Part Time Driving Role Patrol. In this position you will patrol utility facilities, drive between sites, maintain a visible security presence, and provide courteous, professional service to clients and visitors.

This role offers a flexible part-time schedule and a pay rate of $24.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license and security-related experience are required, with opportunities for training, growth, and access to Allied

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience are required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facility buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required activity logs and incident reports.
• Observe site operations and report damaged barriers, unsecured access points, hazards, and/or other concerns in accordance with site procedures.
