Job summary

Allied Universal in Newark, DE is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver to provide dependable security coverage at the site. This role offers flexible fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with a base pay rate of $16.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as per federal, state and local laws.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access and verify credentials; document visitor and contractor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and file required reports.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns and security-related incidents to site contacts.
