Job Summary

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs. Located in a rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the university seeks adjunct faculty with experience working with diverse populations and a passion for preparing the next generation of teachers.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Principles of Teaching and Learning for secondary teacher candidates.
• Supervise student teaching and undergraduate and graduate coursework for the English as a Second Language (ESL) program.
• Teach graduate courses for the Curriculum and Instruction MEd program.
• Teach graduate courses for the Principal and Supervisory Certificate programs.
• Deliver undergraduate course offerings, which may be scheduled day or evening; graduate courses are typically delivered online.
• Participate in performance reviews based on effective teaching, professional responsibilities, scholarly growth, professional development, and service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in the field of education.
• At least 5 years of experience teaching in PK-12.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate.
• At least one year of college-level teaching experience or equivalent.
• Experience working with diverse learners.
• Certifications for grades 7-12.
• ESL Endorsement.
• Principal Certification.
