Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Virginia Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, some evenings, and fluctuating shifts based on park needs and scheduled events.
Criminal background and driving record checks are required.

Responsibilities

Grounds maintenance in parks and public facilities, including mowing and landscaping.
Operate hand and power equipment and set up equipment for City events and programs.
Perform custodial tasks and complete paperwork such as work orders and daily reports.
Assist with clean-up operations for storm debris when required.
