Part-Time Seasonal Mosquito Spray Truck Driver

Join us as a Part-Time Seasonal Mosquito Spray Truck Driver at Vector Disease Control International (VDCI).

Position Overview

We are hiring in the Greenville, MS area for a role focused on safely operating mosquito control spray trucks within an integrated mosquito management program. Responsibilities include mosquito surveillance, large-scale spraying, and ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay rate: $10.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, from sundown until the zone is completed

Responsibilities

• Spray assigned zones thoroughly as directed
• Use GPS equipment accurately and report malfunctions
• Record spray data accurately
• Handle chemicals safely, following all label instructions and SDS
• Follow safety procedures, wear PPE, and operate equipment safely
• Support safety policies and react promptly to changes or issues
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains, handling potential hazards
• Lift and operate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
• Operate vehicles safely and maintain cleanliness of equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic math skills for mixing chemicals
• Ability to obtain necessary licenses/certificates
• Customer service experience preferred
