Part-Time Seasonal Mosquito Spray Truck Driver

Join us as a Part-Time Seasonal Mosquito Spray Truck Driver at Vector Disease Control International (VDCI).

Location: Green Cove Springs, FL.

Role Overview

The primary responsibility is to operate a mosquito control spray truck safely and effectively as part of an integrated mosquito management program, focusing on preventing disease spread through mosquito control activities such as surveillance and large-scale spraying.

Compensation & Schedule
  • Pay rate: $13.00/hour
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, from sundown until completion of assigned area, with some weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Spray assigned zones thoroughly following supervisor instructions.
  • Use GPS equipment properly and report malfunctions.
  • Record all spray mission data accurately.
  • Handle chemicals safely, adhering to labels and SDS guidelines.
  • Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and operate equipment safely.
  • Support safety policies and react promptly to changes or tasks.
  • Work outdoors, exposed to weather, pesticides, terrain, insects, and animals.
  • Lifting and handling chemicals and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate vehicles safely and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Good communication and basic math skills.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses/certificates.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
