Inland Group of Companies is hiring a Lead Aircraft Deicer for Cedar Rapids Airport on a part-time seasonal basis. The role focuses on de-icing aircraft, inspecting for ice and contamination, and applying glycol fluid while maintaining safety and log records.

The Lead coaches peers, monitors performance, and reports deviations from standards, ensuring compliance with airline and IDS procedures. This is a hands-on, high-attendance position at a busy airport environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to verbally direct in English.
• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
• Successful completion of IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during the de/anti-ice operation and ensure company policies are followed.
• Uphold duties related to de/anti-icing for airlines and IDS, including inspecting aircraft for frozen contamination.
• Participate in pre-planning for the de/anti-ice event (checking equipment, trucks, etc.).
• Ensure proper shutdown of pads and complete paperwork and log books; log and report maintenance issues.
