Job Description

Work as a Scribe for Envision! Provide scribe services in an Emergency Department at the direction of a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Provider or Physician Assistant). The scribe documents the provider’s dictation and activities in the electronic medical record (EMR) so that the provider can spend more time with the patient, work more productively, and produce accurate and thorough documentation in real time. The scribe does not act independently.

Paid Time Off

Envision offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays and paid family leave. You accrue PTO each pay period and depending on your position can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.

Additional Information

• All candidates must submit a resume with any clinical medical experience you have (paid or volunteer) to be considered for the position.
• Starting rate $15.15 per hour.

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Excellent listening and note‑taking skills

• Ability to remain calm in a fast paced, at times stressful environment
• Computer proficiency
• Ability to type 50 words per minute or above, adjusted for errors

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or verification that degree is in progress)
• Biology coursework at the undergraduate level or above preferred; Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology coursework preferred
• At least 100 hours of work, volunteer, or shadowing experience in the healthcare field preferred
• Experience in a direct patient care environment preferred i.e. EMT, scribe, clinical technician in hospital, medical assistant in a doctor’s office

Immunization & Testing Requirement

• Provide documentation of health information, testing, and/or immunizations including but not limited to: Tuberculosis, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, and Flu.
