Job summary

Discovery Center Collective: Don Harrington Discovery Center & Wildcat Bluff Discovery Center in Amarillo, TX is seeking an Education Team Member to support public and school programs for learners of all ages. This part-time, non-exempt role reports to the Education Manager and involves hands-on science activities, demonstrations, labs, and live astronomy programs.

• Support the DHDC mission to inspire learners of all ages.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, patience, and adaptability in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Educate learners of all ages with floor demonstrations and interactive science activities.
• Deliver science labs, live astronomy programs, and live science shows for diverse audiences.
• Assist with events, camps, birthday parties, and facility rentals, including setup and guest coordination.
• Set up and maintain public exhibit and program areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Participate in front desk operations and collaborate with the team to enhance visitor experience.
