Job summary

Upper St. Clair School District Bus Garage USCSD in Canonsburg, PA seeks a Substitute Van Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and ensure their safety. Immediate start; part-time role with responsibilities including pre- and post-trip inspections, complying with traffic laws, and proper communication with students, parents and staff.

Applicants must have a Pa. Class C Driver’s License, a clean driving record, be able to pass required tests and drug screening, and have a high school

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• No points on driving record and ability to pass physical including drug test and random drug testing.
• Preferred: experience driving school students.
• Must have a valid Pa. Class C Driver’s License.
• Must pass USC District Transportation Tests (written and driving).
• Must pass State Skill Test and Department of Transportation physical and basic training.

Responsibilities

• Drives school van safely and professionally, including during inclement weather.
• Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Complies with all traffic regulations and local district policies.
• Communicates with students, parents and staff.
• Assists students on/off the school van, including students with developmental or physical needs.
• Maintains order on the school van; cleans van interior and exterior.
