Job summary

JB Safety 1st Transportation is seeking a part-time School Van Driver to provide safe and reliable transportation for students, including those with special needs. You will follow established routes and schedules to ensure punctual pickups and drop-offs while maintaining a professional presence.

As a School Van Driver, you will prioritize safety, communicate with school staff about delays or rider needs, and help students board and exit the vehicle with appropriate supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive safely and follow directions consistently in a fast-paced environment.
• PASS FBI BCI background screening.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of proper care when working with students with special needs.
• Safely operate a school van while transporting students according to route plans and time schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist students with boarding and exiting the vehicle, maintaining supervision.
• Follow all traffic laws, school transportation policies, and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with school personnel regarding schedule changes, delays, or rider needs.
