Johnson School Bus Service is seeking a part-time School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school while ensuring their safety on every journey. The role requires a valid license, background checks, and DOT screenings, with training provided to obtain a DOT license.

You will maintain a calm, safe bus environment, complete inspections, and report maintenance needs. A strong focus on reliability, communication, and child safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Must pass background check, DOT Physical and DOT Drug screening.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and commit to reliable attendance.
• Willingness to obtain a DOT License (training provided).
• A passion for working with children and a dedication to their safety.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children from home to school and school to home.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children on the bus.
• Maintain an orderly, calm, and safe environment on the bus.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus before and after each route.
• Report any required repairs or maintenance to the team.
• Complete and submit mileage reports for the routes driven.
• Keep the bus clean, tidy, and in mechanically sound condition.
• Follow all traffic laws and school safety protocols.
• Attend monthly safety meetings and any other required training.
