The role emphasizes safety, professional conduct, and a respectful environment on every ride. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a valid Missouri driver’s license with clean record, and the ability to obtain a CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Valid Missouri driver's license with clean driving record.
• CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, or ability to obtain within timeframe.
• Missouri School Bus Permit or ability to obtain prior to transporting students.
• Ability to pass all necessary background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students and authorized passengers following regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment and enforce rules on board.
• Assist students with boarding and exiting; help those with special needs as needed.
• Follow routes and schedules; evaluate traffic, weather, and road conditions.
• Respond to accidents, breakdowns, and emergencies per procedures.
• Report accidents, vehicle damage, safety concerns, or disciplinary issues to administration.
• Complete required reports, logs, and documentation.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and coordinate routine maintenance with staff.
• Attend safety trainings and professional development as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding students and school operations.
