The position is part-time with a varying schedule. Drivers must maintain safety, follow regulations, assist students as needed, and communicate effectively with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum age 21.
• Valid Missouri Driver's License with clean record.
• CDL Class B with P and S endorsements; Air Brake and other endorsements as required.
• Missouri School Bus Permit or ability to obtain before transporting students.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and authorized passengers safely to and from school and activities.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain a safe, orderly environment on the vehicle and enforce rules.
• Assist students with boarding and exiting, providing help to those with special needs as needed.
• Follow routes and schedules while considering traffic and weather.
• Report accidents, damage, safety concerns, or incidents to school administration.
• Complete required documentation like inspection and mileage logs.
• Keep vehicles clean and coordinate maintenance with designated personnel.
• Attend meetings and trainings as assigned.
