Job summary

Greensville County Public Schools School Board Office - Emporia, Virginia is seeking a Part-Time Car Driver to transport students with special transport requirements under supervision of the transportation supervisor.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and completion of the district's bus driver training. You will help load/unload, ensure safety restraints, and maintain a respectful, confidential environment for students.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass safety training.
Must have an excellent driving record in compliance with division standards.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Must be able to interact positively with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

Safely operates a County vehicle for transporting students.
Provides door-to-door pick-up and delivery of special needs students; assists loading/unloading as required.
Ensures compliance with safety policies during transport.
Collaborates with school staff and parents to develop safe loading/unloading and transport strategies.
Maintains confidentiality of student information.
Completes and submits monthly reports and other required paperwork.
