Job summary

CAIU is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist at the Enola, PA location to provide a program of speech and language therapy for students with identified needs.

The role requires a Master's Degree and PA certification in speech/language impairment, with ASHA CCCs preferred. Schedule caps at 29 hours/week, with salary per CBAs and compensation up to the 61,577 annual equivalent for 26/27 SY.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• Active PA Instructional I or II Certification in Speech/Language Impaired OR Educational Specialist Certification as a School Speech and Language Pathologist required.
• ASHA CCCs preferred.
• Full certification in Safe Crisis Management (SCM), Safety Care, or other restraint management system as required by the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language screenings for referred students.
• Provide a comprehensive evaluation of speech and language skills as part of the multidisciplinary team evaluation/reevaluation for referred and enrolled children/students.
• Participate as a member of the IEP planning team, providing recommendations for instruction in speech and/or language.
• Work cooperatively with CAIU staff in an integrated therapy/instruction approach, including augmentative communication and devices.
• Report on child/student progress per program/agency requirements.
• Meet with parents/guardians to confer on progress.
• Maintain records and reports to meet timelines and regulations.
• Act as a consultant to CAIU, schools, and families regarding speech and language development.
