Qualifications

• Currently or recently in good standing from an accredited law enforcement agency.
• LEOSA certification or ability to obtain.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team; flexibility essential.

Responsibilities

• Manages campus access controls for buildings.
• Communicates expectations and provides coaching to personnel.
• Educates faculty, staff, and students on emergency procedures.
• Coordinates with local police and monitors external threats.
• Performs building checks and monitors scheduled activities.
• Patrols campus grounds, buildings, and fields.
• Provides traffic and parking control as needed.
• Maintains crowd control during events; supports on-site safety.
• Reports security needs to Security Director.
• Regularly inspects doors, windows, and gates for security.
• Assists emergency responders as necessary.
• Escorts students, faculty, and service providers.
