Job summary

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District is seeking a School Monitor to support student safety and order on campus. This 0.25 FTE position offers 191 workdays per year, with a 2 hours/day shift that can be combined with another classified role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required at entry.
• A valid Alaska Driver's License is required.
• Physical capacity for Light Work: exertion up to 20 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Monitors student activities during lunch periods and recess to ensure safety and proper behavior.
• Intercepts unfamiliar persons on school grounds and directs them to the office as needed.
• Assists instructors in providing first aid and accompanies injured students to the nurse.
• Performs basic clerical or support duties including library or office assistance as needed.
