Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a qualified school psychologist to provide targeted counseling to high school students in the Putnam, CT area. This contract role is part-time, with two days per week, focusing on student well‑being and personal growth within a supportive school setting.

You will work with a high school caseload, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with teachers and families while applying ethical, evidence-based counseling practices.

Qualifications

• Credentialed or licensed as a School Psychologist per state regulations.
• Experience in a school environment, preferably with high school students.
• Strong counseling skills with the ability to connect and build trust with adolescents.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities.
• Commitment to ethical, empathetic, and confidential support of students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group counseling for high school students, addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
• Collaborate with school staff to identify students in need of counseling support and maintain open communication regarding student well-being.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of student interactions and progress.
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families as needed, always adhering to privacy policies and ethical standards.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to help students develop coping skills, resilience, and emotional regulation.
• Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.
