Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group in Beaumont, TX is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our part-time school-based team. You will work with students to develop functional, sensory, and motor skills that support classroom success and daily living activities.

Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to design individualized plans, participate in IEP meetings, and document progress. Texas license and OT degree required; NBCOT preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Texas Occupational Therapist license
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Experience working with children and adolescents preferred
• School-based experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in individual and group settings
• Support fine motor development, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, self-care, and functional life skills
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring
• Maintain accurate documentation, treatment records, and progress reports
• Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and therapeutic strategies to support student success
