Job summary

Crete Public Schools is seeking a Nutrition Services Technician to support the daily operation of the school nutrition program at the Intermediate School in Crete, Nebraska. This role covers food preparation, service, sanitation, and record keeping to ensure meals meet federal, state, and district standards.

Part-Time, 4 hours daily (9:30 am–1:30 pm) with starting hourly pay $17.26, plus benefits including health and dental coverage, retirement, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work well with children.
• First aid knowledge preferred; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, portioning, and serving food to students according to recipes and guidelines.
• Cashiering and recording payments accurately.
• Maintaining clean and safe service and food prep areas.
• Assisting with inventory and opening/closing tasks as needed.
• Adhere to USDA and state regulations.
