Job summary

Qualifications

• Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state.
• Certification as a school nurse or working toward this certification.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.
• Minimum of three years successful experience as a nurse or school nurse.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete health record system using available technology.
• Plan and conduct screenings, examinations and health appraisals.
• Monitor newly enrolled students to ensure compliance with health laws.
• Advises and counsels students, staff and parents on health issues.
• Provide first aid and assist emergency care providers.
• Administer medications according to state law and CSUSA policy.
• Communicate health information with parents and staff.
• Coordinate with health-related organizations in the community.
