Job summary

The Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking a part‑time School Nurse for Queen of All Saints in Sauganash (Vic. II).

The nurse will implement the school health services program, monitor health policies, and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote a healthy learning environment. The role includes developing care plans, managing medications, maintaining health records, coordinating with physicians, and ensuring compliance with state health requirements.

Qualifications

• Provide health care and services for students as needed.
• Delegate nursing care per plans and supervise medications.
• Ensure immunization and health records are current and confidential.
• Coordinate emergency care and training for 911 procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate health care plans for students.
• Meet with parents to discuss health needs before school year start.
• Delegate nursing tasks per care plans and supervise medications.
• Report incidents of suspected child abuse/neglect and monitor attendance.
• Collect/send health forms and ensure teacher access to health information.
• Maintain health records and create medication administration records.
• Arrange emergency care and coordinate with staff for emergencies; check AEDs monthly.
