Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to support a single high school student at a nearby school near Chicago Heights, IL. Youll provide one-on-one care and administration of medications per care plan, 15 hours per week across five days.

Ideal candidates hold an Illinois LPN/LVN license, CPR certification, and strong communication skills; collaboration with teachers, families, and school staff is essential; experience in pediatrics or school settings preferred.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license in Illinois.
• School or pediatric setting experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, supporting a single high school student.
• CPR certification.
• Willingness to collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one care and medication administration as prescribed by the student’s care plan.
• Monitor health status and respond promptly to medical concerns during school hours.
• Document nursing observations, interventions, and updates clearly and accurately.
• Communicate with school staff and guardians to coordinate ongoing care.
• Assist with mobility, activities of daily living, or medical procedures as needed.
