Job summary

Ampersand Therapy LLC is hiring a part-time School Registered Nurse in Lisle, IL to support students in specialized classrooms. You will administer medications, manage care plans, and maintain health records for a pediatric school-based program.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, at least 2 years nursing experience (1+ year pediatrics/spec needs), and strong clinical judgment with excellent communication to families and staff.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois State RN license.
• 2+ years of professional nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year with pediatrics or special needs.
• Autism and Behavior experience preferred.
• G-tube feeding, seizures and seizure emergency meds, diabetic care with CGMs, suction and tracheostomy skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to students in specialized programs.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and care plans.
• Maintain health records and ensure compliance.
• Communicate with families about student health needs and updates.
• Collaborate with school staff and special education teams.
• Respond to emergencies and follow safety protocols.
• Monitor immunization compliance and health screenings.
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives.
