Norwich Public Schools in Norwich, CT, is seeking a Part-time School Lunch Aide to supervise students and help maintain a clean cafeteria environment during lunch periods.

Responsibilities include enforcing rules, assisting younger students with tasks, and ensuring safety and order. Prior experience with children is preferred; HS diploma or equivalent required. 10-month term with a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in school or childcare preferred.
• Ability to maintain a calm, patient, and professional demeanor.

Responsabilités

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch periods.
• Promote and enforce school rules and appropriate student behavior.
• Assist younger students with opening food containers, utensils, and general needs.
• Monitor student movement to and from the cafeteria during transitions.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and eating areas between lunch periods.
• Respond to minor student issues and refer serious concerns to staff.
• Support cafeteria staff with non-food preparation tasks as needed.
• Ensure student safety, including awareness of allergies and special considerations.
• Report incidents or concerns to administration promptly.
