Job summary

Vanguard Academy in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a part-time Server Helper for the Vanguard Academy food services team. The role runs Monday to Friday from 10:45 AM to 1:30 PM, with schedule subject to building needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with meal preparation, coordinating with kitchen staff, supervising student workers, and ensuring proper sanitation and safety standards are followed. Prior food service experience and a Washington DOH Food Handler’s Card are preferred.

Qualifications

• Good communication with staff, students, parents and public.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and order supplies.
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliable attendance.
• Bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, cooking, assembly, service and clean-up in line with policies.
• Order and receive food deliveries from base kitchen and central warehouse as needed.
• Supervise and instruct student workers during meals.
• Follow sanitation, safety and temperature control procedures per state health standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report issues promptly.
• Exhibit reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Services Director.
