Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State Department of Health Food Handler’s Card.
• Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain industrial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations; order products and supplies according to attendance/production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of meal preparation including cooking, assembly, service, and clean-up according to MLSD Food Service policies and procedures.
• Order and receive food deliveries from base kitchen and central warehouse as needed.
• Supervise and instruct student workers assisting with the meal period.
• Follow sanitation, safety, and temperature control procedures per Washington State Health Department standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report issues promptly.
